Pokémon World Champsionships 2025

Pokémon World Championships (WCS) is an annual, invite-only, 3-day competition series focused on the Trading Card Game (TCG), Video Game (VG), Pokémon GO, and UNITE. It’s the culmination of the Pokémon Championship Series which includes various regional and national tournaments. GPJ is working with TPCi to incorporate other activation and programing elements to engage competitors and spectators. The 2025 Pokémon World Champsionships was held in Anaheim, California.
Museum
This museum contains celebrative displays of merchandise from the past 20 years of the Pokémon World Championships. It also included a timeline of Pokémon’s video game history.
Illustration Gallery
This art gallery displayed card artwork from the Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt and Scarlet & Violet—White Flare expansion series. It also inluded an interactive space where fans were encouraged to draw their own Pokémon card.
Autograph Room and Creator Zone
These spaces allowed for fans to meet content creators, game designers and illustrators of Pokémon.
Pikachu & Friends Meet and Greet
This character meet and greet allowed fans to take pictures with their favorite Pokémon.
Collect & Trade and Pin Trading
This was a safe space where enthusiasts of all ages can trade Pokémon goods and participate in a pin rally.
Toyota Miraidon
This was a collaboration with the TOYOTA Engineering Society. The display showcased a built Miraidon, a popular mascot of the “Pokémon” video game series.
Nearby Hotel Branding
When considering the attendee experience, hotels are generally the first point of interaction. We  branded hotels near the convention center to create a memorable experience for attendees from arrival to departure.
